Description

The project aims at proposing an integrate and complete strategy for improving youth employability and a better school-to-work transition. In particular, the project will foster the collaboration between VET institutions and employers in the wood and the furniture sector, contributing to adapt curriculum and qualification profiles and proposing and testing a cooperation framework between enterprises/employers and VET institutions to define integrated transnational dual learning models.

In particular the project aims:

  • To contribute to adapt curriculum and qualification profiles by investigating the technological and soft skills gap in the professional profiles for the Wood Treaters, Cabinet Makers and related Trade Workers (ESCO 752 profiles and ISCO 08).
  • To contribute to overcome youth stereotypes and biased perceptions concerning skilled manual occupations and traditional economic sectors
  • To increase organizational, social, emotional, entrepreneurial and technological skills and competences in VET students and workers
  • To propose and test a cooperation framework between different stakeholders (especially enterprises/employers and VET institutions) to define integrated transnational dual learning models: one model would not fit every situation, but a core concept can be proposed, accompanied by a "modelling engine" to support adaptation to several sectors and countries.
  • To support the implementation of 2013 Communication on Opening up education: promoting the development of new modes of delivery of training, including virtual mobility and e-learning.
  • To evaluate this first experience of model design and implementation, with the scope of identifying shortcomings and transferable solutions.

Description

MICRO is developing and deploying Open Educational Resources (open and widely available training content and modules) targeted at micro and craft-type enterprises in rural areas to foster their chances of growth and access to the EU single market and EU opportunities to ultimately enhance their competitiveness. Our goal is to promote growth and employment in rural areas by leveraging underutilized EU opportunities and promoting participation to EU Single Market by microenterprises.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • sustain growth and competitiveness of rural microenterprises
  • developing practical training resources to be delivered both face-to-face and through the Open Educational Resource
  • bridge the capacity gaps of rural microenterprise
  • Designing of innovative multilingual training content, material and web based tools
  • Testing and validation of  the main results with at least 200 microenterprises in rural areas in 6 countries

Description

Euro4Science 2.0 is a spinoff of a very successful partnership, previous Euro4Science Erasmus + Project. Euro4scince includes partners from Portugal, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and the UK

Euro4Science 2.0, includes the development of a Forensic Science Educational Toolbox which, despite exploring the same "case-file" forensic like approach as in euro4Science 1, now pretends to wide activities subject expanding the range of topics from STEMs. The philosophy of enquiry education and case files exploration complemented with lab and field activities is now comprehensive to incorporate important priorities of present day citizenship and challenges including health education, environmental sustainability and inclusive society and human rights.

In order to implement the innovative educational activities proposed and responding to a clear identified need, Euro4Science will promote the creation of a network of teachers properly trained in a hierarchical chain of workshops, from central "Train the trainers" hubs to local "hotspots" in order to reach a significant number of teachers and through them ultimately by secondary school students.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • Tackling of early school leaving
  • motivation of disadvantage students
  • promote scientific and media literacy
  • address values and topics such as  freedom, tolerance , non-discrimination and respect for  human rights
  • address environmental sustainability and health by exploring transdisciplinary "Case Files"
  • develop activities related to everyday hot topics which are transmitted via media and internet, thus requiring proper literacy

Medlit45+

Description

The project is going to prepare a framework of knowledge and skills for the low-skilled unemployed adults 45+. The social and economic inclusion of this group will be achieved through advanced media literacy and digital skills. Medlit45+ is the appropriate project for low-skilled/low-qualified adults 45+ need to develop and upgrade their media literacy and digital skills for the effective use of social media in a way that can generate increased opportunities for them in the social and professional level.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • Developing the digital/media competences of low-skilled/low-qualified unemployed adults 45+ through innovative tools so that they are motivated and able to ]
  • Building of a robust online professional identity to strengthen their access to employment, leading to social & economic inclusion
  • Enhancing the knowledge of employment/career counselors and/or relevant authorities, organizations & companies working with low-skilled/low-qualified unemployed and equipping them with a new approach & tools for supporting and interacting with middle-aged unemployed persons through social media.

The added value of implementing the project at EU level is that it will contribute to the creation & dissemination of a common (& easily adaptable & transferable) framework & online resource platform that address a Union-wide challenge (and even more so since Romania, Greece, Portugal, Spain & Italy are among the countries with the lowest levels of digital skills, especially of low-qualified persons).

It will also contribute to the further implementation of the New Skills Agenda for Europe.

Description

The project is going to perform study visits on leading SMEs to investigate their structure and exchange practices, study visits to SURVIVORs SMEs in partner countries affected by the crisis (GR, SP, PT) and collect the material necessary to create a training programme as a roadmap to success. A powerful tool will be created as a platform for further development, connection of executives between SMEs, exchange of practices and a flexible learning program that will link the specific needs of SMEs (which will derive from the desk and field research) in terms of internal capabilities, with the training offered, in a way that will allow effective use of resources (people/time) and connect learning with business results.

The main project objective is analysed in creating a powerful tool &a flexible training program that will manage to link the market needs with the training offered, in a way that will allow effective use of resources (people, time) &clear connection of training with business results.

 Activities

The activities of the project are:

  • To gather the existing examples, good practices and expertise, available in each participating country and prepare them for the experience share to carry out methodological as “Capacity building” and “Common learning and training”.
  • To organise 7 Transnational Project Meetings (TPM)
  • To organise the respective exchange and trainings
  • To realise the agreed communication, dissemination activities and measures
  • To organise regional and local activities to promote the project across target groups to involve relevant stakeholders as direct or indirect project beneficiaries with dissemination activities for each partner in press, social media etc (as an obligation of the partners);
  • To contribute to the evaluation and reporting process, i.e. most of all by a proper and sound reporting

  Seven (7) Short-term joint staff training events will be organized in partners’ countries (Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain). 2 Staff members from each partner will participate to the training activities. These training events aim at visiting either SMEs in each partner country that have survived through the crisis but also niche SMEs that have upgraded their management system and have dealt with the crisis the past few years, and they have profit, and are sustainable.

Description

BLEND IN aims to prepare and empower one of the most vulnerable groups of our times, young migrants & refugees seeking a better life in a third-EU country. The ultimate objective of the project is to develop the social, civic, intercultural competences of the young refugees and migrants resettled in a host country, inform them on their rights and promote their autonomy, active citizenship and participation in social life and labour market, thus preventing their social exclusion, combating discrimination and segregation by facilitating their smooth cultural and social integration in the host community.

To achieve this objective, the BLEND IN partners will develop a cultural, social and language integration toolkit in the form of a mobile application, orienting the young newcomer refugees into the hosting societies’ cultural and social realities and norms. As the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) underlines, cultural orientation is a very important part of a well-managed resettlement process, that contributes to reducing refugees’ concerns and overall anxiety, while at the same time increasing their chances of successful integration. Integration is essential for all stakeholders (migrants/refugees and receiving societies), not only as a way of providing economic and cultural benefits but also for ensuring the security and stability of societies as a whole. As refugee integration is a two-way process that involves both refugees and the receiving societies, the project will provide the young refugees and migrants, recently resettled in a new country, with the appropriate tools to help them safeguard their cultural and religious identity while empowering their integration in the new community by introducing to them the most important social, cultural and language elements in their hosting communities, promoting that way intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, tolerance and respect of cultural diversity and human rights.

@XESS

Description

AXESS is the concrete answer to specific needs in the field of upskilling adults, with focus on Digital Skills for low skilled adult women.

The ultimate goal of the project is to enhance employability of women through developed and more proactive social and civic engagement. In today´s world this is firmly linked with the level of digital skills.

The above mentioned competences (sense of sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, social and civic competences, digital competence) are among 8 Key Competences of Lifelong Learning formulated by the European Commission. Also OECD deals with competences of adults, notably in the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC). The survey of problem solving in technology-rich environments, among other things, revealed that women in some countries have less developed digital skills than men.

AXESS addresses the needs of target groups (adult women) by developing and deploying concrete training and educational resources (OER, open educational resources) for adult women to advance their digital competencies and skills.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • The provision of concrete educational resources for low-skilled adults, mainly for adult women
  • Enhancement of Social and Civic Competences of low-skilled adult women and lead to socio-economic empowerment
  • The development of content and material for online courses
  • The creation and consolidation of strategic partnership fir Adult Education

Description

Europe wide, female labour market participation is lower than male one. It is well known that childbearing, care tasks, conciliation needs hinder women employment. Research has shown that many women exit the job market after childbirth. This trend is particularly strong among the more vulnerable segments of female population (e.g. low educated, low-skilled, of migrant origin).

In order to answer to unskilled mothers’ request of help, social professionals need to set up complex and multi-layered methods of social intervention to address the social/emotional/relational roots of the unskilled mothers’ unemployment or inactivity problems.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • To increase social professionals’ capacity to frame help’s request within beneficiaries’ social/cultural/relational roots.
  • To provide social professionals with the tools necessary to read complexity of women work-family balance situation, also through an understanding of conciliation that goes beyond the mere provision of family care services.
  • To design, test and share innovative pedagogical methods of women guidance and emporwementaccross the JUMP partners, relational inclusion and employability.

  •  SECONDARY TARGET: low income/low skilled (migrant) women with small children who are lone mothers and/or have never entered the work market, experience a long break in their employment path or work in low-skilled and no-protected jobs.

Description

The project consists in extending and developing the social entrepreneurship competences of educators/ professionals working in organizations, providing support to migrant populations, in order to assist them in the long-run in promoting social entrepreneurship to low-skilled and low-qualified adults with a migrant background, as an alternative pathway for their self-sustainability.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • To enhance the background and knowledge of educators / professionals in social entrepreneurship fields, which will facilitate them in the long run to develop social entrepreneurial skills to learners with migrant background,
  • Improve the supply of high quality learning opportunities in the field of social entrepreneurship tailored to the needs of both educators with no prior relevant knowledge in the field, as well as of low-skilled adults with migrant background.
  • Increase the capacity of educators / professionals as trainers of trainers in social entrepreneurship
  • Promote the social entrepreneurship spirit and raise awareness on the alternative pathways to pursue self-sustainability
  • Increase labour market relevance of learning provision and qualifications and reinforce links among the world of social entrepreneurship with adult trainers and, ultimately, with migrant learners.

Description

The project “MADE in EU” aims to contribute to the goals of the "Europe 2020", promoting inclusive growth and cohesive society, through the exchange of best practices, experiences, methodologies and strategies in adult education, in the framework of technological, economic and migratory change, that are transforming both our society, both the labor market, which requires new skills and constant knowledge updates.

Small ‘vulnerable” groups of adults excluded or de-motivated to take part in lifelong learning (target groups) will be identified as well as training needs of these target groups in terms of key and soft skills (communication skills, digital competence; learning to learn social and civic competences, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression).

The objectives of the “MADE in EU” project are:

  •  to exchange good practices, examine and experiment with methods and strategies in order to develop new effective methods and tools for adult learning;
  •  analyze the causes and contribute to reducing the barriers between those who are included or excluded from education permanently;
  •  to promote the acquisition of skills in adults, with particular attention to groups at risk of social exclusion, as a way to promote the welfare and participation in social and democratic life;
  •  to raise the awareness of local actors in the various countries involved on the need for effective action to adult learning.
 Activities

 Activities to be implemented:

  1. Analysis of the causes of social exclusion and in local contexts of the partners involved and the role of training / education in adults who are at risk of social exclusion.
  2. Studies on adult education models in the various countries involved and exchange of good practice on adult learning using non-formal methods;
  3. Set up of a group of adult learners and a questionnaire in order to identify their training needs, about the basic and digital skills.
  4. Development and implementation of "training modules" for adult education linked to the key and digital skills (in particular by using the peer to peer approach, the andragogical method, and learning by doing);
  5. Creation of innovative tools that can be used for adult education based on non-formal education methods (website content; Guidelines -booklets and apps).
  6. Dissemination of results and good practices emerged from the project and research on possible connections between formal and non-formal education for adults

Sharing Skills

Description

The project is going to prepare a framework of knowledge and skills, that the “sharing economy service providers” will have to possess and demonstrate to the users of these services (e.g. tourist vehicle driver, rental accommodation, translator – guide etc.).

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • The development of knowledge through surveys and analysis in selected countries (Germany, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Poland, Portugal).
  • The development of a new analysis tool, through the design of a concrete survey methodology and a methodology for comparative analysis on the sectoral level of “sharing economy”.
  • The development of information exchange among different countries, facing the same issues (boom of Sharing Economy Sector), including (Portugal, Germany, Greece and Poland)
  • The exploitation of results as an aid to decision-making, since the partners are participating in the dialogue for the adoption of “sharing economy” into the “real economy”, the project is aiming at a new “European” approach to “European sharing economy”.
  • The production of Training Packages for “sharing economy” practitioners, with a vision of accreditation by a body dealing with accreditation issues.
  • The development of on-line training material in form of a webinar and the establishment of an on line accreditation system for people who want to “certify” their skills and knowledge gained through the participation in the new training packages.
