Enhancing Competitiveness of Microenterprises in Rural Areas (MICRO)

Description

MICRO is developing and deploying Open Educational Resources (open and widely available training content and modules) targeted at micro and craft-type enterprises in rural areas to foster their chances of growth and access to the EU single market and EU opportunities to ultimately enhance their competitiveness. Our goal is to promote growth and employment in rural areas by leveraging underutilized EU opportunities and promoting participation to EU Single Market by microenterprises.

Hence the objectives of the project, include:

  • sustain growth and competitiveness of rural microenterprises
  • developing practical training resources to be delivered both face-to-face and through the Open Educational Resource
  • bridge the capacity gaps of rural microenterprise
  • Designing of innovative multilingual training content, material and web based tools
  • Testing and validation of  the main results with at least 200 microenterprises in rural areas in 6 countries
 Activities

Four Intellectual Outputs:

  • MICRO OER Platform in 5 languages
  • Capacity Gap Assessment
  • Content OER - course developed in 5 languages
  • 200 Microenterprises trained in 6 Countries - Test And Validation of MICRO

Six Multiplier Events:

  • MICRO Multiplier Event and Practitioners’ Workshop in all partner countries
