WOODual project is funded with the financial support of the European Commission, Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships“Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchanges of Good Practices.
Within this framework, in November 2017, some of our students from Italy and Greece started their mobility in the Netherlands. In occasion of this event, WOODual partners developed and competed the Intellectual Output 6, which concerns a Training course addressed to training specialists working in companies and VET Institutions.
The project builds up a strong and continuative partnership among different stakeholders active in manufactoring and furniture sector and experts in education and training issues in order to update and improve
current professional profiles in wood and furniture sector answering to the skills gap.

The purpose of the Woodual project is to elaborate guidelines and new methodologies so as to open the road for a more extensive use of dual learning system in wood and furniture sector.

The partners had the opportunity to visit Athens at 21-21 February 2017 at EEOs’ premises to discuss specific matters towards Woodual implementation. Each partner contributed to draft the operational guide on dual learning experience and cross-border mobility in wood sector and prepared a description of good practices – focus point at beginning and at the end of mobility project.
The Meeting started at 5-6 April 2016 in Spain and the partners had the opportunity to discuss and presented the results from the outputs. The meeting started with a recap and general overview of the project’s outputs. Partners are encouraged to discuss the potential opportunities and threats linked to each Intellectual Output.
The Kick off Meeting started at 22-23 October 2015 in Italy and the partners had the opportunity to discuss about the objectives of the project. In this preliminary phase the partners of the project had identified the existing networks, the associations and stakeholders belong to the furniture sector and were active in the field of work-based training in order to maximize and coordinate all the efforts towards VET students and young workers.
