Transnational Meeting, 5-6 April 2016 (Valencia, Spain)

The Meeting started at 5-6 April 2016 in Spain and the partners had the opportunity to discuss and presented the results from the outputs. The meeting started with a recap and general overview of the project’s outputs. Partners are encouraged to discuss the potential opportunities and threats linked to each Intellectual Output.

Project progress

I01. Public study and analysis of market trends (desk research and questionnaire). Mr. Albetti (FLA) presents the main outcomes of the desk research project on labour market trends. A first analysis confirms the upwards trend of the EU furniture sector after the crisis (considering a number of key performance indicators) as well as the future shortage of skilled workers.

I02. Study on professional qualifications. SOPHIA presented of the “competence grid” (no questionnaire), in order to identify the competences for the 3 profiles (wood treaters, cabinet makers, woodworking machine setters).

I03. WOODUAL Community. ADAPT presented of the website and LinkedIn page. Points which discussed were the importance of success stories, especially for young people; the importance of adding videos from every partner, also important to submit content, the design of a new questionnaire to measure the attitude of young people.

A discussion on the dissemination plan and strategy was held. Dissemination has to be structured in relation to different audiences and target groups. Different messages have to come across:

-          to Companies: “Make your future employees through EU dual learning”

-          to VET schools: “Enhance your education offer with EU dual learning mobility”

-          to young talents: “Make your future job in Europe through dual learning”

-          to policy makers: “Support EU Employment through dual learning”
