The Erasmus+ Project "VET2Business" on the Municipal Television of Thessaloniki, TV100

Our VET2Business Project http://vet2business.eu/ was hosted in the municipal television of Thessaloniki "TV100" in one of the most known informative broadcast "Dimotis Online"

The guests of the show were Mr. Alexandros Barbounakis, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Mr. Theodoros Grassos, Director of European Programs at AKMI Group of Companies and Mr. Nikolas Kokkosis, Associate of the Department of Education at the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In a constantly changing tourist landscape, the guests of the show emphasized the importance of lifelong education of employees, students and young learners in the Hospitality and Catering sector in order to be able to meet the requirements of the new environment.

As a response to this, VET2Business is creating two up-to-date training programs, mainly related to the development of digital skills of employees and learners in the sector, as well as the strengthening of their intercultural competences and communication skills. The training programs resulted from the quantitative and qualitative research carried out in Greece and Germany with the participation of over 1000 employees in the sector. The analytical results of the survey are available here: http://www.vet2business.eu/el/apotelesmata.
