The National Centre for Social Research (www.ekke.gr) coordinated the 2nd CULMED Project Meeting that was held on 12 July 2019 in Bucharest, Romania.

The meeting was hosted by the Romanian Posts in its premises.

During the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to present the current state of the Project (project overall assessment), with special focus given in the quantitative and qualitative research in the postal sector in order to identify skills gaps and mismatches.

The project partners discussed about the objectives of the project and the preliminary outcomes stemming from the research stage, focusing on the communication differences between the citizens of Greece and Romania and third country citizens, in terms of language barriers, lack of necessary information and lack of appropriate documents.

One of the main discussion points was the possibility to offer special training programs to the employees in order to optimally provide the postal services (for English language usage in specific terminology, etc.) and at the same time to meet the characteristics of a good cultural mediator.
