Akmi Metropolitan College (AMC) was in European University of Cyprus, Nicosia on May 20th and 21st for the 1st Steering Committee Meeting of DataPRO, a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 3 Joint Qualifications in Vocational Education and Training.

Within the framework of the European Programme INSERT: Developing the competences of educators / professionals for the promotIoN of Social Entrepreneurship to adults with migRanT background, EEO GROUP S.A. gave the opportunity to 10 professionals working with migrants, to enhance their background and knowledge in social entrepreneurship field.

On the 21^st of May EEO GROUP participated in the 2^nd Transnational Project Meeting of the KA2 Erasmus+ TESEUS “Training on Entrepreneurial Skills for EU Start-ups” project held in Pescara, Italy.

TESEUS focuses at the promotion of start-ups and enterprises in the IVET sector through the creation of tools for teachers and mentors to develop their entrepreneurial talent of IVET students and a set of practical training for IVET students to create companies.

The Institute of Vocational Training, AKMI, participated in the 5th Steering Committee of the project LiveSkills, which took place on May 9th & 10th in Brussels, hosted by the British Council in Belgium.

Institute of Vocational Training, AKMI SA (https://iek-akmi.edu.gr/) coordinated the 2nd NewPost Project Meeting that was held on 09-10 May 2019 in Bucharest, Romania.

The meeting was hosted by the Romanian Posts in its premises.

The 2^nd Transnational Meeting of CLICK CLEVER: Social Education for Digital Tradives was organized in Paris in 4^th April 2019. AKMI S.A participated along with partners from Italy, France, Spain and Belgium.

On the 20th of April we had our second meeting of the Seminar on EU Funding Tools that EEO Group is organizing in cooperation with SAFIA. With 20 students and young professionals we had the opportunity to discuss the Vision and Objectives of Erasmus Plus (E+), covering different Calls under KA1, KA2 and KA3.

MedLit#45+ is a Strategic Partnership project in the field of Adult Education funded with the support of the programme Erasmus+. The project aim is to improve the digital skills of users over 45 in order to increase their competitiveness within the modern labour market.

AKMI Group of Companies was represented by the Development Director Mr. Theodoros Grassos in the event “The dynamic of businesses in the Human Resource Development” which was held by the Job Center of Municipality of Athens on 4th of April.

The participants had a unique opportunity to discuss the challenges that companies are facing in the development of their human resources as well as the up skilling and certification of new skills through staff training programs.

Drawing from his long experience in the field of education and training, Mr Grassos highlighted the importance of lifelong training programs in human resource development and the necessity of them being designed in a way tailored to the real needs of employees.
